About Roberto
Roberto Hermosillo is a world class musician dedicated to using his skills and expertise to touch the hearts of people across the globe. Whether entertaining international audiences or inspiring hundreds of students, he brings enthusiasm and artistry to stages, recordings studios, and classrooms.
For more than a decade, Roberto has taught students at every level. Though he specializes in teaching kids between the ages of 5 and 13, Roberto’s students range from two years old through senior citizens. He offers private lessons, dynamic classroom instruction and enrichment classes in Latin American music. Roberto brings an explosive enthusiasm to his teaching. Passion is part of his style. For him, the enjoyment of music is central to being able to perform, write and ultimately, improvise music.

He’s performed internationally throughout Latin America as well as in Austria, Germany, Spain and across the U.S. alongside Latin Rock legend Jarabe de Palo, Beatriz Solis, and GRAMMY Winning guitarist El Twanguero. On TV, Roberto was a featured musician on the soundtrack for the FX show MAYANS M.C. He also appeared on the show as an actor.
Roberto learned his craft from a Who’s Who of musicians: Guitar Virtuoso Christopher Parkening, Pat Pattison (John Mayer’s teacher), Livingston Taylor, Latin Jazz legend Victor Mendoza, Perico Sambeat (Sax player for Pat Metheney), and Dr. Peter Curtis. He is a proud graduate of Chaffey College, Pepperdine University, and was the first Mexican guitarist to ever receive a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) from Berklee College of Music.
